This super Winter recipe has reached us directly from Osterode, Germany.
and it was sending us by Renate Wauge, more than a business partner, a close friend with whom I shared nice days of very intense work.
Renate is Area Sales Manager at Sigma Laborzentrifugen GmbH, but also a very good cook. she told me that this récipe is one of the favorite dishes of their family.
Let see it:
1 Savoy cabbage or white cabbage
500g Hamburger meat
1 roll, frumpy
100 g bacon , diced
500 ml broth
200 ml cream
Salt and pepper
1 tablespoon mustard , possibly more
Paprika , sharp

Pell eight leaves from cabbage and blanch and dry with a kitchen towel.
Prepare the filling as follows: one egg, a soaked and squeezed roll, 1-2 tablespoons of mustard, one finely diced onion, salt, pepper and hot paprika, possibly dried marjoram.
The whole mix. distribute small piles on the on the cabbage leaves, roll up and tie with kitchen string. Gently roast the cabbage rolls in a high frying pan. Add some bacon. Once the cabbage rolls show some color, pour on the broth. Cover and simmer for half an hour.
Finally, remove the rolls and pour cream into the sauce, boil down a little or possibly thicken slightly. Salt an pepper to taste and serve the sauce to the cabbage rolls.
